3 Tasty Vegetarian Pizza Recipes

There are many health benefits from being a vegetable, especially because you are free from cholesterol and excess fatty foods. Practicing a vegetarian life should be very much appreciated as there are so many food temptations out there.

If you decide to make a vegetarian pizza, the choices are more numerous as you think they are. You can combine a lot of ingredient, you just need to get creative and cook something original. In addition, nothing compares to the joy in preparing what you eat.

 

Below there are three tasty vegetarian pizza recipes for you to try. Before you start, consider that you can combine and change whatever ingredients you want, so that your vegetarian pizza to be perfect and suitable to your taste.

  • Tomato and Kalamata Olive Pizza

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 medium eggplant, peeled and diced
  • 4 medium tomatoes, sliced about a quarter inch thick
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups grated vegan mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • One 12- to 14-inch pizza crust
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation Steps

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2: Over medium-low heat, add the eggplant, garlic and water in a skillet. Cover the composition and cook it for about 8 minutes, until the eggplant becomes tender. Within this time, check the mixture occasionally and add water if it looks dried out.

Step 3: Put the pizza crust on a baking sheet. Place the tomatoes on the crust, then sprinkle with the eggplant and garlic mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange the mozzarella and the olives in the top.

Step 4: Put the pizza into the oven and bake it until the cheese is getting bubbly. Usually, this takes 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 5: Let the pizza cool for about 5 minutes, then cut into wedges and serve.

  • Roasted Red Pepper and Garlic Pizza

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ¾ cup roasted red peppers, sliced thin
  • 8 to 10 cloves garlic
  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • One 12- to 14-inch pizza crust
  • 4 oz. vegan mozzarella cheese, grated
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, cut into thin strips

Preparation Steps

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2: Wrap the garlic cloves in a piece of foil and put it in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes

Step 3: Place the pizza crust on the baking sheet and brush it with olive oil. Arrange pepper slices on the curst, then scatter roasted garlic around the curst. On the top, sprinkle it with the grated mozzarella cheese.

Step 4: Bake until the cheese is bubbly, it takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 5: Sprinkle the pizza with basil after you take it from the oven. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Cut it into wedges and serve.

  • Onion and Cheddar Pizza

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 large white onion, thinly sliced
  • One 12- to 14-inch pizza crust
  • 4 oz. Vegan Cheddar Cheese, grated

Preparation Steps

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet, then add the sliced onions and cook. Stir occasionally until the onions get soft and golden brown. This will take about 20 minutes.

Step 3: Place the pizza crust on the baking sheet, spread the onions over it. Sprinkle the vegan Cheddar cheese on the top.

Step 4:  Bake about 8 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly.

Steps 5: Let it cool for 5 minutes then cut and serve.
