Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara is a traditional Italian food, along with pizza, and pasta. It has become a very popular type of food worldwide because of it is very tasty and it is very consistent.

Ingredients:
– 250-400 grams bacon
– a teaspoon of crushed garlic,
– freshly ground black pepper,
– salt
– basil powder
– 4 large eggs beaten well with a whisk,
– Parmesan cheese a cup of freshly grated (Parmigiana-Reggiano)
– teaspoon chopped parsley a very fine
– a box of 500 grams spaghetti cooked “al dente”

How to do it:
Preparing the sauce: In a large skillet, hot, put bits of bacon, after having first been cut (not very small, about 1 cm wide and 4 mm thick). Fry until crisp all over (about 6-8 minutes). Remove the bacon bits and place it on a paper towel to absorb the adjacent fat. Drain fat from pan, keeping about 3 tablespoons of fat. Add the crushed garlic and pepper and put the garlic on fire for about 45 seconds until it becomes golden.

Take the pan from the fire, add the fried bacon and pasta cooked “al dente” and add a little pepper, salt and keep on fire for 1 minute.

Eggs, well beaten in a bowl with a pinch of salt, add over this hot mixture but first take the pan off the heat. When you add eggs, stir constantly, until eggs are glued to the paste and harden. Add fresh cheese race (Parmesan cheese) and mix well.

Cooking spaghetti “al dente” boil water with salt and butter cubes with (100 gr. Spaghetti at least 1 liter of water).

When boiling the water add the spaghetti, taking care that as it softens, to go into the water all of the pasta. Do not boil more than 10 minutes. The spaghetti taste, when it is cooked so it is not broke, but no longer has a core of uncooked pasta in the middle, is called they are cooked “al dente”.

Serve in bowls (not in the plate) and sprinkle fine chopped parsley over. Spaghetti Carbonara is served while they are still hot.

Special Tip: When you put in plates, you can add a tablespoon of olive oil on top (if you would like, and sprinkle more grated Parmesan cheese) and serve with garlic bread.
